Garden Plant Sale (10 - 4pm)

Normal admission prices to the gardens.

A selection of plants for sale, all of which are grown in house at Trentham, including annuals, perennials, vegetables and a wide range of Irises.

Garden Tour (11am-12pm)

Prices £10 (£8.50 RHS members & Season Ticket Holders) Pre booking essential

Take a 1 hour tour with one of the gardeners around the historic Italian Gardens and Contemporary new schemes which form part of Trentham’s £100 million makeover. Tour also includes a free hot drink and 10% off plant sales at Blue Diamond Garden Centre located on site.

Plantsman’s workshop (10am -12.30pm)

Price £20 (£16 RHS members, Season Ticket Holders)     Pre booking essential

An insight in to one of the newest and largest perennial schemes in Britain. Discover the designer’s vision (Tom Stuart-Smith and Piet Oudolf), the plants of the season and tips on maintaining and propagating a choice range of perennial plants.Tour also includes a free hot drink and 10% off plant sales at Blue Diamond Garden Centre located on site.

Summer Garden Festival

 ‘Little Ferns’- Garden Treasure Hunt (10am - 4pm)

Children follow the clues around the garden to find the treasure.

The Garden Seed Giveaway (2pm - 4pm)

Normal garden entry prices apply (Free to season ticket holders)

Free seed and bulbs collected from the gardens given with instructions on how best to grow. On a first come first served basis.

‘Little Ferns’ -Scary Sculptures (11am-1pm)

  Carve out crazy pumpkin faces for Halloween and make Halloween figures.

Bring your own pumpkin due to a limited availability.

A free activity for paying visitors and season ticket holders.

Trentham's Trick or Treat Garden Trail (5pm - 7pm)

Come along in fancy dress and find your way through the spooky garden maze without being caught by the Halloween characters!  Join in the fun and games and get close to the beautiful owls with their handlers.

The Ice Cafe will be open till 7pm.

A prize will be awarded to the best fancy dress costume.

‘Little Ferns’- Creative Christmas (11am-1pm)

Make Christmas decorations using materials from nature and adding just a little Christmas sparkle.

The Trentham Estate – Behind the scenes garden tours.

Event: A garden tour looking in detail at the schemes designed by Tom Stuart Smith and Piet Oudolf, with a chance to view the original plans and planting.  Also going behind the scenes to have a look at trentham’s growing areas and find out more about the day to day maintenance of such extensive perennial collections. The tour will be followed by a hot drink and shortbread at the Trentham Garden Centre including a tour of the plant area with a discount off plant sales.

Time: 11 am – 12.30 pm

Followed by a hot drink and plant tour at the garden centre.

The Trentham Estate – A Plantsman’s Paradise.

Event: A series of workshops looking in detail at different plant collections within the new Piet Oudolf and Tom Stuart–Smith’s planting schemes, with some hands on propagation and a supply of cuttings for you to take home.  This will be followed by a hot drink and shortbread at the Trentham Garden Centre including a tour of the plant area and a discount off plant sales.

  Time:  10.30am – 12.15pm

Followed by a hot drink and plant tour at the garden centre.

The Trentham Estate - Summer Evening Tours

 Event Be part of an exclusive tour of the gardens on a summers evening at the height of the season, when the gardens have closed to the public. Led by one of the experienced gardens team you will be given a tour of the new Piet Oudolf garden and Tom Stuart-Smiths Italian Garden planting.  The evening will end with a 3 course meal at Blue Diamonds ‘Terrazzo del Gardinio’ restaurant where you creating the perfect end to a wonderful  evening.

Times: Tour - 6pm – 8 pm

            Meal – 8pm (restaurant open until 10pm)
